University of Sheffield is looking for a
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Faculty of Arts & Humanities. Salary: Grade 8 (£36,862 to £44,016 per annum, with potential to progress to £49,539) or Grade 9(£46,696 to £52,556 per annum, with potential to progress to £60,928). Closing Date: 26th April 2011.

This is an ideal opportunity for a scholar with an outstanding publication record and excellent teaching ability to join one of the top Philosophy Departments in the United Kingdom. An ability to contribute, at present or in the near future, to the Department's impact' (i.e. the extent to which research in the Department has influence beyond academia) will also be
advantageous. The level of appointment (either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer) will depend on the candidate's depth of experience in teaching and their record in publication and grant capture.
